Genmar Motorcycle Handlebar Risers
CycleSolutions.net is proud to carry the full line of GenMar Mfg. motorcycle Handlebar risers. Genmar builds handlebar risers for today's sportbikes, dirtbikes, enduros, and cruisers. GenMar Mfg. is the original handlebar riser company. Genmar's handlebar risers are machined from billet aluminum and finished in either brushed aluminum or black anodized. Shaped like the base of your handlebar mount, they will raise the handlebars upward and back (due to the fork angle), still leaving the motorcycle with a very stock look. Most riders will have to sit on the bike to notice there is something different. It's more comfortable. Raising the bars up even a mere 3/4" (19mm) makes a real difference in the weight on your hands. Raising your bars with a spacer design, like our handlebar riser, you raise the bars but still retain the stock angle. This is very important to maintaining even weight distribution across your hands during braking and turning. The GenMar Handlebar Riser is designed to raise your handlebars the maximum your motorcycle will allow. The handlebars will not hit the fairing or the tank when turned full-left or full-right. There is no need to remove or change any of the controls on the handlebars. Most installations can be completed in as little as 10 minutes.
For Kawasaki ZZR1200 Ninja riders, you can double stack the K102 Genmar Riser for the Kawasaki ZZR1200. Longer bolts are supplied and you can still use the stock brake lines and other cables. Simple reroute you brake lines to go to the inside of the fork. This will give the extra slack you needs for the double-stacked Genmar risers. Also, I strongly recommend using Loctite on the Genmar risers bolts. This will keep them locked down and not vibrate loose. Definitely something to consider even when using the correct torque settings to mount the Genmar risers on your motorcycle.
So if you want to get more comfort out of your ride, alleviate the stress on your hands and wrists and lower back, consider installing a set of Genmar risers for your motorcycle. It is a quick and easy install and your body will than you for it. Hey, this gives you another reason to take nice long motorcycle rides now without the fear of being uncomfortable from an aggressive riding position.
